Here in the Midwest of the United States, it is finally starting to feel a bit like spring.  Wildflowers are making an appearance which means all the tiny insects are not far behind.  Spring is a time of joy for macro photographers.  Get out there for some fun with your camera and bring your best macro/close-up shots throughout the week.

Crossing the Void

What is macro photography?  Basically, macro photography is capturing small subjects with larger than life results. A true macro shot could be anything magnified at a ratio of 1:1 or higher.  For the purpose of this challenge, we will not be strict with the 1:1 rule.  I am more interested in people having fun looking for the details, whether it is true macro or close-up photography.  A macro lens is not a must.  Great results can be obtained with whatever zoom lens and camera is on hand.

Everyone is welcome to join in with one or more macro or close-up shots each week.  Create a pingback or add a link in the comment section below and tag your post SMM.

We had some rain this week so I had to post a pic of dewdrops, of course.  There were many fantastic entries for this week again.  Take a moment to look and comment on each other’s sites.  It is fun and great inspiration as well.

Even though we had snow flurries this week, I have also seen signs of spring along the trails.  My entry for this week’s Sunshine’s Macro Monday is a pic of a tree bud captured from one of those hikes.  Now it is your turn!

Sunshine’s Macro Monday #36

My favorite season of the year is just starting to burst forth in beauty.  A walk in the garden brings changes and new growth every day.  Since conservatories are closed to the public right now, my entry for this week is a lily of the Nile taken in August of 2019.  Now it is your turn!  Can’t wait to see what beauty you have to share with us.
