Looking Out at the Universe

Looking Out at the Universe

Waiting for sunrise from Maui’s highest peak at Haleakala National Park at 10,023 feet above sea level.

Sunshine breaking through the clouds below to clear skies above.

Looking out at the universe from the the summit of Haleakala National Park is worth experiencing time and time again.

    • I hope you get a chance to experience Hawaii one day. If I could pick one place to live forever, it would definitely be Maui. 😊

  1. Gorgeous captures. We visited Maui a few years ago and unfortunately we weren’t able to reserve a spot at Haleakala National Park to watch the sunrise. It was nice to imagine what it would have looked like through your pictures.

    • Those sunrise reservations disappear quickly. I hope you get another chance to experience the beauty of Maui. 😊

  2. So beautiful! Many years ago when we visited Maui we did the bike ride down the mountain. Drove up the mountain at about 2:00 am, watched the sunrise, then we rode bikes down the mountain with a stop for breakfast on the way. Amazing adventure!!

  3. Magnificent images. What a profound experience this must have been, nearly two miles up atop a volcano watching the sunrise! The earth is so still and silent at these times, so peaceful. Beautiful stuff. πŸ™‚

  4. πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘ŒπŸ‘ŒπŸ“·πŸŒ„πŸ˜‰ beautiful shots … I haven’t been taking pictures of dawn in a long time. I guess I was lazyπŸ˜‰πŸ€£πŸ˜˜

    • Not lazy, maybe the smarter one. 😁 I have always been a morning person to the point that I haven’t set an alarm clock for decades. On the other hand, it is almost impossible to get me out the door for a sunset. πŸ˜‚

    • Thank you! Sunrises are beautiful from just about anywhere but experiencing it from the summit of a volcano at Haleakala National Park is unforgettable. 😊
